Vehicle historyPUJ 850R was first registered by Vincent Greenhous, Shrewsbury on 18 November 1976 and delivered to J&J Lewis & Son. Here it remained for nearly 4 years when it passed to a Fred Brown of Market Drayton,
A dealer in Shrewsbury, called Kennings, sold it to its second owner (Fred Brown) with approximately 15,000 miles on the clock. Under their ownership a mishap by a garage meant it needed a new engine due to a cracked block. The engine was supplied by Graham Walker. It was then sold to another dealer Williams Garage in Market Drayton in 1986 who sold it to its third owner Dr John Evans. After this the trail goes thin with just the list of owners available as a resource. The photos above were kindly provided by second owner Fred Brown, taken around 1980.
What has come to surface is the chassis number says it was built as an automatic but has since been converted to a manual, according to the history it was sometime during the nineties. The MOT history goes back to 1995 and the service history shows another engine rebuild at the turn of the century. MOT history dates back to 1995 supporting the reading of 62,000 at the present day. |
